Please read and respect the regulations put in place by any national and local authorities to fight the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Regulations are implemented for a very important reason: we shall limit the spread of the coronavirus and save lives.
CURRENT NORWEGIAN TRAVEL REGULATIONS
NORWAY HAS TEMPORARILY CLOSED THE BORDER TO FOREIGNERS WHO LACK A RESIDENCE OR WORK PERMIT.
TRAVELING WITHIN NORWAY IS ALLOWED FOR PEOPLE RESIDING IN NORWAY.
ON JUNE 15, THE BORDER WITH DENMARK WILL REOPEN. ON THE SAME DATE, THE NORWEGIAN GOVERNMENT WILL REASSESS REOPENING THE BORDERS FOR TRAVELLERS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES.
More information about the coronavirus for travelers visiting Norway can be found here:
We value the health safety of both our guests and staff above anything else. Outdoorlife Norway is following all current restrictions and guidelines put out by the Norwegian government and Norwegian Institute of Public Health. These measures include:
– Guides are not allowed to handshake guests – Thorough cleaning routines for all equipment used – Guests are provided with disinfecting hand gel and expected to use this – Guide and guests will keep a 1.5-meter distance from each other when hiking – Guests showing any symptoms of fever, sore throat, coughing, running noses, chest pain and breathing difficulties cannot participate.
DO YOU HAVE AN EXISTING BOOKING WITH US BUT UNABLE TO TRAVEL?
Since it has become difficult for many guests to travel to us at this moment, we have decided to be flexible with all guest cancellations, offering free rebooking, even if you are not eligible for a refund. This means you can rebook to a new date, anytime in the future, free of charge. Our credit vouchers never expire and can also be transferred to anyone of your likings.
Support local tourism companies by accepting free rebooking! It enables us to secure jobs and making sure you can still go on a vacation when this is all over.
If you have suffered big losses, try to claim costs at your travel insurance. Some may cover costs related to private travel COVID-19 cancellations. They may require documentation that you cannot travel to Norway. Follow the links at the top of this page for documentation which you can use in filing your claim.
We want to thank all our guests for their flexibility! <3
