  I organized my trip to Norway around the hikes I wanted to do. After researching companies, I ran into Outdoor Life Norway on Instagram and the first thing that caught... read more my attention was the good pictures they have. I love photography and that was such an important factor to take my decision. Also, their website is well organized and all relevant information is available.

As I travelled during the pandemic, I appreciated very much their flexibility around cancellation or change in the dates. I interacted a lot with them via e-mail to discuss details and all my questions were answered quickly and clearly.

I did my hike with Fabrizio and it was super fun! He knows a lot about the region and he is very enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. And also very attentive to details and always ready to offer the best advice along the hike. So not only fun, the hike was very safe from my perspective.

I do hikes from time to time in different countries and I always appreciate guides who are full of energy as if they were doing it for the first time, even though in reality they do it a few times per week for instance. Fabrizio has that kind of energy that I appreciate and it made a huge difference in my Kjerag day.

  Last month I finally found a perfect weekend for attempting the Pulpit Rocket. As a total novice in hiking, I decided to book a hike with Outdoorlife Norway for the... read more following day. After having received a confirmation from the organizer I booked a flight and hotel and went to the airport. I then received a mail from the organizer saying that due to a clerical error I should not have been able to book this tour. 30 minutes later another mail confirmed that the tour was booked, and they would pick me up at my hotel the following morning. Then yet another mail saying that no there was no trip, by now I have arrived in Stavanger. Outdoorlife Norway offered me the money back or a different tour that started at 3.15 am. I have never hiked or climbed anything, so my first time was not going to be in darkness, therefore I chose the money back. The following day I took the normal bus to The Pulpit Rocket and climbed on my own during the daytime. Don’t get me wrong the hike is fantastic, and I am sure that the people that work for Outdoorlife Norway are really good when they do their hikes. However, my advice is to save your money and do it on your own as it is a fairly easy hike as far as hikes go.

  Guide Erlend was fantastic in helping out and showing us the sights. Probably one of the best tours I've ever done overall. No complaints at all. Just too amazing.

I had the great pleasure of going on the "Preikestolen - off the beaten track" tour with their guide Sal who was engaging, informative and attentive all the way. The brilliant combination of canoeing, challenging tracks and climbs with varied stunning views made the trip quite special. I could not have asked for a better guide or hike to Preikestolen!

  Booked 2 hikes with Outdoorlife Norway (Kjerag Summer Hike and Preikestolen Off the Beaten Track-Sunrise), the Flørli 4444 hike was fully booked so I couldn't do it with them. I... read more did both hikes with Erlend, a professional guide and photographer, who also holds a Masters in Biology.

I really enjoyed both hiked, I would have given more than 5 stars if that was possible!

If I could sum up the 3 reasons why it's a great choice to book with them, those would be:
1- Photography: the photos our guide took were stunning, way better than the ones we would have taken ourselves
2- Fauna and Flora: our guide knew everything about the animals, insects, plants, flowers, fruits we came across during our hikes and brilliantly answered all our questions
3- Professionalism: this company is very professional (Top 1 in the Stavanger area), always responsive and punctual. Everything went smoothly from the booking until the end of the hike. Our guide was super comprehensive, empathetic and flexible. He adapted the pace of the hikes according to our physical capabilities and managed to keep a really nice atmosphere during and after the hikes. Overall, you can tell he really loves what he does.

Our guide Sal was great and we had a fantastic experience!... read more The weather was not great and we didn’t see the sunrise, but it didn’t take anything away from our experience at all!

It was amazing to walk in the dark and use other senses that your sight - once we got to Preikestolen, we had it all to ourselves and I think that’s a little unusual, but it gave us some great photos!

We cannot recommend this trip enough - I know it’s early, but it affords a unique experience for sure!
