Both CNN and Lonely Planet have described Preikestolen, or Pulpit Rock, as one of the world’s most spectacular scenic viewpoints. On an annual basis, the iconic landmark welcomes more visitors than any other trekking-destination in Norway. In 2020, more than 300,000 hikers are expected to make their way up the trail. From atop the 604-meter-high cliff, the panoramic views of the Lysefjord and surrounding mountains are some of the most impressive Fjord-Norway has to offer.

Book Outdoorlife Norway’s privately-guided corporate hike to Preikestolen and experience a hassle-free group visit to one of Norway’s most iconic natural landmarks. We’ll take care of the logistics so your group can focus fully on enjoying the experience. The tour’s base price includes on-site parking, packed lunches, warm drinks and snacks, use of outerwear, hiking boots, outdoor equipment, and a photo package. If desired, Outdoorlife Norway can organize extras such as transportation, dinner at the trailhead, and overnight accommodation at Preikestolen Fjellstue.

Your guide(s) will meet you at our activity center at Preikestolen Basecamp, just adjacent to the trailhead. There, according to individual needs, your group members will be allocated outdoor gear and clothing for use during the hike. After a short information and safety briefing, the group will embark on the hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock). The guide(s) will lead you up the trail through shifting terrain, including lakes, forests, and barren mountaintops. Depending on the time of year, the terrain may be vibrantly green, shades of yellow, orange, and red, or covered in snow and ice. During each season, your group will enjoy unique perspectives of the wilderness around the Lysefjord. Along the way, you will have opportunities to stop and catch your breath. The numerous vantage points offer great photo opportunities of the surrounding mountains.

After 2-3 hours of hiking, as you leave the forests behind, your guide(s) will lead you onward to the mountain’s plateau. There, from atop the 604-meter-high cliffside, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of some of the most dramatic scenery in Fjord-Norway. While enjoying the views, your group will have time to sit down and enjoy a lunch and a warm beverage. After the rest, your guide(s) will lead the group back down to the trailhead, which will take about two hours. Once back at the base of the trail, you’ll have the opportunity to relax at the basecamp while enjoying the beautiful views of Refsvatnet lake at Preikestolen Mountain Lodge
