The tour ends (on Saturday) in Stavanger City Centre at approximately 10:30am
Hiking difficulty: Suitable for adults (at least 16 yrs.) in very good condition, with previous experience with hiking.
Join us on a week long outdoor photography workshop with travel photographer Frank Peters. An adventurous workshop where we really get to experience the fjord.
Who is Frank Peters?
Frank is specialized in travel photography, landscape photography and outdoor photography. His photos have been published in articles and on the front pages of the Dutch Bergen Magazine and daily newspaper Trouw. They were published in the Dutch quality newspaper Volkskrant, in various glossy magazines and reached the finals in International Travel photographer of the year and Outdoor photographer of the Year competitions.
In 2015 one of his pictures became runner-up in the photo contest of the Photo Fair and in 2016, he won the Dutch Mountain Film Festival photo contest with a picture of the Matterhorn.

A mountain that has been photographed thousands of times, but since he pictured it in a totally different way (at night with a slow shutter speed), the picture stood out. It´s the same principle we´ll also comply during the workshop.
Day 1 – Saturday – Check-in at Preikestolen Mountain Lodge
Arrival, dinner and overnight in the beautiful Fjellstue Mountain Lodge. Throughout the entire workshop, all accommodation will be on a full board basis, so lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price.
Day 2 – Sunday – Preikestolen sunrise & sunset
Hiking distance – 8 kilometers; Ascent – 350 meters
Hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and photograph the sunrise. Explore the area around Preikestolen and lunch, rest and dinner in tipi tents. Photographing the sunset at Preikestolen. Overnight in the Fjellstue Mountain Lodge.
Day 3 – Monday – Fjord cruise and Flørli
(Optional) Hiking distance – 5 kilometers; Ascent – 740 meters
Photo editing followed by fjord cruise by ferry to Flørli. Taking pictures in Flørli and (optional) climb the longest wooden staircase in the world (4444 steps). Photographing sunset over Lysefjord from viewpoint Flørli. Overnight in apartment.
Day 4 – Tuesday – Kjerag sunset
Hiking distance – 6 kilometers; Ascent – 500 meters
Ferry to Lysebotn. Then walk to the famous Kjerags Boulder and taking photos at sunset. Accommodation in tents.
Day 5 – Wednesday – Kjerag sunrise
Hiking distance – 6 kilometers; Ascent – 250 meters
Sunrise at Kjerag. Then down, edit photos in the Turisthytte and leisure. Overnight in the Turisthytte.
Day 6 – Thursday – Fjord kayak and RIB
Kayak distance – 7 kilometers
Kayak tour under the imposing walls of Kjerag, followed by a spectacular RIB speedboat tour. Ferry to Preikestolen Mountain Lodge. Editing picture’s.
Day 7 – Friday – Preikestolen ‘off the beaten track’
Hiking distance – 10 kilometers; Ascent – 250 meters
Preikestolen ‘off the beaten track, a trip which begins with canoeing the beautiful mountain lake Refsvatnet (30 minutes). Then we walk to Preikestolen through a special route with fantastic views. Photographing at sunset from a point other than the first day. Overnight at Preikestolen Mountain Lodge.
Day 8 – Saturday – Return to Stavanger
After breakfast, we will be transported back to Stavanger, were our trip ends at approx. 10:30am. From our end point, you can take the airport shuttle bus, if necessary.

- All transportation, including fjord crossings by ferry
- All accommodation on a full board basis, so lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner (excluding drinks) are included in the price
The workshop will be organized and confirmed to you as soon as minimum 5 participants have booked the tour. In case the tour has not reached the minimum number of participants, you will be notified at the latest one month before the trip, and you will be refunded in full.
