Product Description

Pick-up:
Your guide will meet you in Stavanger (08.30am) before crossing the fjords by ferry.  On this unique tour, we start with a five hour (roundtrip) hike to Mount Reinaknuten.

This hike is of moderate difficulty, suited for adults (18 yrs. +) in general good shape and used to physical activity.

The hike is five kilometers each way, and we will use approximately three hours up and two hours down. On the way to the top, we climb three hills of increasing steepness. We’ll hike through a variety of landscapes, passing among others birch forests, mountains lakes and boulder fields. After the last steep climb, you will be rewarded with a great lunch, and one of the very best views in the region. Mount Reinaknuten looms 700 meters above Lake Tysdal, and the might granite walls are an impressive sight. Towards the horizon, we can see the transition in landscape, changing from mountain peaks to coastline, scattered with hundreds of islands along the North Sea coastline.

Just for the record, you have to hike FIRST to deserve your beer AFTERWARDS. 😉 But on our way down, while taking in the beauty of the landscapes around us, it is allowed to start day dreaming about beer.

Return/End of the hike at Lilland Hiking Lodge at approx 16.00:
Lilland Hiking Lodge & Microbrewery is situated close to the fjords and the mountains, a perfect place to stay if you are visiting Reinaknuten, Preikestolen or some of the other spectacular hiking attractions in the Stavanger and Ryfylke region. The microbrewery located at the hotel has been making IPA, Wit, White IPA, Pale Ale and Porter for over a year. Now we invite you to taste the fresh and tasty craft beer. What could possibly taste better after a day in the mountains…? You will have the opportunity to taste 3 different kinds of craft beer in our Lodge Craft Beer Pub. Along with this we serve you some nice local “Ryfylke Snacks/Tapas”.

Afterwards, your guide will take you back to Stavanger, where we will arrive at approx. 18:00 (6:00pm).
