Outdoorlife Norway is in close cooperation with other leading, local activity providers to offer our guests a wide-range of exciting activities, throughout the year.  These tours offer a fantastic opportunity for guests who would like additional activities to complement their hiking adventures along the Lysefjord.

Fjord Events specializes in yacht/sailboat and RIB/speedboat cruises in the Stavanger region. From May to August, guests can join daily departures of high-speed RIB tours into the Lysefjord.

Join Fjord Events for 1 hour, 45 minutes of adrenalin-pumping excitement aboard a high-speed RIB boat. Get up close and personal with the Lysefjord and imagine how the Vikings must have felt when navigating its mighty waters. Gaze upon Preikestolen, which hangs 604 meters overhead. Taste crystal-clear, cool mountain water, straight from the source!

Because it offers guests views of Preikestolen from below, this tour is a perfect complement any one of our Preikestolen hikes.

Fjord Expedition specializes in guided sea kayak tours from their base in Jørpeland, near the Lysefjord. From May through September, guests can join one of numerous tours scheduled per week.

Join Fjord Expedition on a 3-hour kayak tour along the Jørpeland’s beautiful coastline (no prior experience necessary). Enjoy the peaceful island scenery while catching glimpses of birds, marine life, and the occasional seal resting on the rocky shoreline. Learn about the cultural and natural history of the area, and get an idea of what it must have been for the Vikings who once paddled the same waters.

This tour is a perfect complement for adventurers who need to rest their feet before or after a hike.

Rødne Fjord Cruise specializes in sightseeing tours into the Lysefjord. Daily departures from Stavanger’s harbor (Vågen) are available almost every day of the year.

During the cruise, guests visit the mysterious Vegabond Cave, drink water directly from the legendary Hengjane Waterfall, and gaze upon Preikestolen, 604 meters overhead. Guests can also experience the stunning Lysefjord from the comfort of the boat’s climate-controlled cabin, if weather conditions change.

Become acquainted with the region’s charming and peaceful countryside. You’ll visit the Three Swords Monument on the shore of the Hafrsfjord, where Norway was united as a single Kingdom in 872! You’ll then stop at Ullandhaug Tower where you’ll get great views of the entire peninsula, including of the cruise port and beyond to the North Sea. In the city center, you’ll stop at Domkirken, the city’s cathedral, which was built in 1125. Finally, if desired, you’ll have the option of following your guide past the market square and onward to the charming cobble stone streets of Old Stavanger (Gamle Stavanger), which will round out this unique experience of our city and its surroundings.

TrollAktiv Adventure Park is located near Evje, Setesdal Valley, 3 hours east of Stavanger.
Whitewater rafting trips run twice daily, every day, all summer long. 
TrollAktiv is also home to Evje climbing park, a fantastic treetop adventure.

TrollAktiv is popular for family and youth groups, and provides accommodation in cabins, apartments, and teepees. Open from April to end of October.
