DISTANCE & ASCENT
– varies depending on location
Due to the possibility of rapidly-changing weather conditions, it may be necessary to make changes to scheduled trips. In the event that your trip needs to be rescheduled for another day or cancelled on short notice, you may choose between joining the rescheduled trip or getting a refund. In the event that weather conditions deteriorate during your trip, it may be necessary to turn around on the trail or head back earlier than planned. If this happens, no refunds will be given. =)
Have you ever been hiking through the snow? Our professional guides know where to find the best snow-conditions on any given day, and will plan your hike accordingly. While being transported to the hiking trail, which takes between 1-2 hours, you’ll pass through a variety of dramatic landscapes. Some of the things you can look forward to seeing include fjords, mountains, waterfalls, boulder fields, isolated farm villages, and steep granite walls towering over u-shaped valleys that were carved out by glaciers.
At the trail-head, your guide will introduce you to the art of hiking with snowshoes and then lead you on a 4-hour adventure through what can only be described as a winter wonderland. Along the way, the guide will search for the best vantage points for you to view Norway’s spectacular wilderness. There will be short breaks along the way for snapping photos and learning about local nature. During your lunch-break, you’ll have time to take in the beauty and serenity of the unique nature around you.
To ensure that you’ll meet as few people as possible on the trail, your guide will diligently search for opportunities to hike ‘off-the-beaten-track’. Our goal is to maximize the quality of your experience and interaction with Norway’s pristine nature.
