Have you ever been hiking through the snow? Do you dream of walking in a winter wonderland? Join Outdoorlife Norway on a hike into the region’s snow-covered mountains and experience Norway’s long cold winter, on snowshoes!
Our professional guides know where to find the best snow-conditions on any given day, and will plan your hike accordingly. While being transported to the hiking trail, which takes between 1-2 hours, you’ll pass through a variety of dramatic landscapes. Some of the things you can look forward to seeing include fjords, mountains, waterfalls, boulder fields, isolated farm villages, and steep granite walls towering over u-shaped valleys that were carved out by glaciers. At the trail-head, your guide will introduce you to the art of hiking with snowshoes and then lead you on a 4-hour adventure through what can only be described as a winter wonderland. Along the way, the guide will search for the best vantage points for you to view Norway’s spectacular wilderness. There will be short breaks along the way for snapping photos and learning about local nature. During your lunch-break, you’ll have time to take in the beauty and serenity of the unique nature around you. To ensure that you’ll meet as few people as possible on the trail, your guide will diligently search for opportunities to hike ‘off-the-beaten-track’. Our goal is to maximize the quality of your experience and interaction with Norway’s pristine nature.
